Tein basic problem
Tuesday, June 23, 2009 1:32 PM
Well as many of you know I picked up some tein basics.
When I went to install them, they rubbed my wheels (flik ftd 17x8's)

Basically I have thought of 2 options.
-switch to 215/45's
if I do this they tires are gonna look stretched beyond belief.
-or run some small spacers.
if I do this I'm definitely gonna need some toyo fenders front, but thats wayy out of budget.

Can anyone help me think of anymore options?
I don't want to get rid of these wheels.

Yes I can do that easily.
But I don't know how well the paint will hold up.

If your careful and have a nice curve instead of a crease, you should be fine.

tires wont look stretched beyond belief, just take it to a place that will roll the fenders and use a heat gun and if they do crack the paint they will pay for it lol

I guess my tires looked "stretched beyond belief"? News to me.

They were stretched, but the car looked nicely sitting on them and handled great.

Cut your stock springs.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?

Strat81 and I used a heat gun when we rolled and "flaired" our fenders and we didnt mess up our paint.
