I just picked up 2 steelies for 20 dollars down at the local junkyard.
I need to find some good tires with a decent amount of sidewall ( I get really bad wheel hop). I don't want slicks due to the stress on the car and the price of them.
I found some BF Goodrich Traction T/A for $52 a piece and was wondering if I should grab those up.
Let me know what you guys have found out is the best to run on the 14" for the strip
anything that isn't so expensive or specifically a drag radial.
I would say no to the traction t/a for a drag tire, they are ok, but will likely not stick the way you want them too.
I have traction t/a's on my z wheels and they would not work worth a @!#$ for what your wanting...maybe go with a BF KDW
As of now I'm looking for the cheapest tire that will hook, and kill my wheel hop with a big sidewall
Kumho Power stars seem to have decent grip....
You don't wanna kill the car or have wheel hop but you are looking at a Steel reinforced radial
Look at what Newt suggested
I just got mine in tonight
