I am looking for a set of summer tires for my 17s. The plan in my head is get a good set of summer tires and then put winter/studs on my stock 16s so i dont have to wear down any of my tires particularly fast or have to worry about switching tires for winter/summer change.

At the moment i am looking at Sumitomo HTR Z IIs. They seem to have good ratings for dry and wet conditions and are rather affordable.

I live in central PA and if i have winter tires it seems unnecesary to pay extra money for high performance all seasonals for my 17s. What do you guys think about the tires i am looking at and what do you think about going with high performance all seasonals?
