Monday, December 13, 2010 2:30 PM
Was looking at getting some new rims soon and with the potential new airride setup i was curious if some 18x8" with a 38mm offset will tuck when im dumped? Ive ran my 20x7.5" for years now being lowered 2" front and 2.5" rear runnin 35s on all corners but am looking for something diff now since im getting airride. Any info????

ok im kinda a newb at offsets so the greater the offset the farther away from the body it is? or do i got it backwardz? cuz the lip on the rims i want is 3.5" but im not sure where that would put it in the wheel well with the offset being 38mm

the lower the offset the more the wheels go out. the higher the more is goes in.

I had to roll and flair my fenders to tuck a set of 16x7.5 with a 35mm offset with 205s on them.

you needed toyos to make those work? i ran 18x8 with 215s then 225s before i was dumper with no toyos lol. my wheels also have a 35mm offset in back and 38 in front.

well, probably don't need the toyos. just roling the fenders would be fine. but i got toyos just to have them.

i have 17x8's running 245's with a 35mm offset. i wouldn't say that i'm dumped but a roll and pull insured I have plenty of room.

Strat and I used a fender rolling tool(pictured below) and a heat gun. All we did was pull alittle harder on it to flair the fenders.
