Was looking at getting some new rims soon and with the potential new airride setup i was curious if some 18x8" with a 38mm offset will tuck when im dumped? Ive ran my 20x7.5" for years now being lowered 2" front and 2.5" rear runnin 35s on all corners but am looking for something diff now since im getting airride. Any info????
im gonna say no, i run 18" 7.5 45mm offset and i just come to the fenders.
ok im kinda a newb at offsets so the greater the offset the farther away from the body it is? or do i got it backwardz? cuz the lip on the rims i want is 3.5" but im not sure where that would put it in the wheel well with the offset being 38mm
the lower the offset the more the wheels go out. the higher the more is goes in.
18x8 w/ a 42mm offset. tires are 225/40:
i have toyos to make these work tho.
Ok thanks guys this is helping me alot. Im almost sure i could slide em under but if all else fails ill just roll or get flares.

you needed toyos to make those work? i ran 18x8 with 215s then 225s before i was dumper with no toyos lol. my wheels also have a 35mm offset in back and 38 in front.
azncav howd that 38mm work n the front? any probs?

well i drive dumped like in my sig daily. so of course i got issues lol. but since your on air you can raise it to a comfy level for driving.
well, probably don't need the toyos. just roling the fenders would be fine. but i got toyos just to have them.
good enough reason for me! wish i had them too
i'll have 18x8's on hopefully this weekend and i can take pics too... also have toyo fenders though.. and rolling/pulling the rears
i have 17x8's running 245's with a 35mm offset. i wouldn't say that i'm dumped but a roll and pull insured I have plenty of room.
how do you roll and pull the fenders?
i have seen some prety scary DIY's before
Strat and I used a fender rolling tool(pictured below) and a heat gun. All we did was pull alittle harder on it to flair the fenders.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
^^^^ thats what was used on mine too
^^Is that something that can be rented somewhere, or are they only sold?
