I am going to be getting new tires soon, and am wanting to get "beefier" tires. I have stock 16's, and i know i can run a 225/50/16 for a wider tire, but is it possible to get a bit bigger sidewall as well? I am lowered, and do not want to run into issues at the same time. Thanks for any advice/opinions!
Curious question. Seriously.
Why do you want a bigger sidewall? The side wall of a 225 50 16 is fairly tall. I mean it's not huge, but it's not tiny.
I don't really see the point, but if you want a bigger side wall, just order a tire with a larger side wall ratio.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
google for a tire size calculator and maybe play around with a few sizes, how much bigger are you looking for? maybe a 215/55/16? not sure how common 225/55s or 205/60s are or if they will fit.
225/50 and 205/55 will have pretty much the same sidewall height.
