He didn't say that the dash was leather. He just said it's a sunfire dash.

More than it should have. It was my very 1st fiberglass project and i did everything the hard/stupid way.

I used 2" PVC to make the gauge holder and i super-glued a random piece of plastic in the vent area to box off the controller area.

I hand formed the back of the "pod" which was a PITA(and also the wrong way).

Then i built the area up around it with a @!#$load of bondo(wrong way again)

After a month of working on it i finally was happy with it. And installed it.

I repainted it last spring because i had no clear coat over the flat black and after one summer it looked like @!#$. Now it is gunmetal with clear coat and the paint is holding up alot better.

Also, FYI even thou i did go about this the wrong way it has held up with no cracking, separating, anything for 2 years.

Ignore the god awful kickpods in the background, they've been taken care of.

I'll be doing DoubleDin this summer if I can get my Alpine discount again.

I want to glass my single din in like that but The Sunfire dash makes it difficult to make it look right.

Heres my dash paint project. Didnt follow the sticky 100% because of lack of supplies and money but i like it.

(After 2.5 hours of hand sanding. Power sander wasnt working)

(2 coats of primer)

(Finished product)

Its not glossy like it should be. I plan to sand it down a bit, rebuff it, polish it, more clear coat, possibly even some laquer to make it really shine.
