Replacing steering wheel
Tuesday, November 16, 2010 1:43 PM
My steering wheel is tearing apart on the top of it. Found one at a junkyard for cheap and looking for pointers to replace mine. Now the airbag...what needs to be done to disable the airbag and does the wheel cover just pop off? And after that I am assuming that there is one bolt holding the wheel on, anyone got an idea on the size? Any help would help. Thanks.

unplug the battery then there are two bolt on the back of the steering wheel you will fill/see them take them out then just pull the airbag out and unplug it then you will see a bolt take it off then get a wheelpuller if u dont have one go get one its alot less hard on you use it to loose up then take the old on off put the new one on make sure that bolt is good and tight then plug the airbag back up and put those bolts back in

Do I have to use a wheel puller?
