i looked at my window crank and there isn't any c clip its missing i have a 2001 sunfire and tis is driving me nits i had friends look too any one know how to get them off?

holy crap, sometimes you gotta wait more than 1 1/2 hours to get a reply from someone who knows what's up...
here's the deal. go back outside, kinda pull out on the handle a ways while pushing in on the inner door panel. you should see a thin ring along the shaft. if you pull and the handle comes off, then it's not on there, but if the handle won't pull off it's still there. go to autozone or some place similar and get a window crank puller. that little sucker will get the C ring off of there even if you don't see it. bet you $10 that C clip is still on there...
