Has anybody diabled this stupid thing without the use black tape?
I'm going 35 in 4th, and it wants 5th???? duh.

That would be about right, I'd be doing about that speed in 5th.
So far I've got an engine rebuild, which blew, now a new engine. 5 hours later, clutch burned up. New clutch now. Alternator dies next day. 2 days later battery goes aswell.
Does it really bother you that much? It only stays lit for a few seconds anyway.
