does anyone knwo how to wire a tach to a 95 cavalier without a stock tach
No but i was wondering the same thing for my 2000 cavi.
I know you need the adaptor either from RKsport or Autometer. I soon too will be in the same boat and wondering how.
Why? Is this fast n furious? The factory one is fine and you don't need people in the other lane laughing at you. If It's a drag car then that's one thing
Trust me they will laugh
I have an auto with a tach and am still going to put a big tach in my car, i personally like the way it looks, so dont flame people for wanting to get one, and by the way how many times have you watched those movies i think you would have to watch them alot to know whats on the dashbooard on their cars, no offense.
Red wire goes to batter
Black to ground
Green to Negative terminal on da distributer
White to Fure box (connects to interior lights) I think..someting like that. I used to have a Tachless 95 Cavy. I didnt get an adaptor tho..so the revs were off obvioiusly~ blah
not to threadjack...but i have a question...i have a 95 cavi...and people say it wont work because it gets half the reading it shood get....however...my tach is set on 4 cyl,....and at idle it reads like 2 grand....if i tore the tach out...(its glassed in) and set it on 8cyl. would it read 4 grand or 1 grand?....if it reads one grand ill be happy enough...thanks....
