When the center console is removed in a 2000 Sunfire GT with a manual transmision can you see the shift linkages? the reason why im asking is i want to lube them

Never mind i found it, my question now is does the shift boot come out with the center console or seprately?
The frame for the shift boot should unclip from the center console. In a couple minutes I'll have some pictures on my car domain of the interior all torn up and you should be able to see the clips in a couple pictures.
Ok, I decided to be real nice, and the shift boot was out anyways. I went out and took a picture. This is on a 97, but it should be really similar. There are 4 tabs that hold the shift boot in. Hope that helps you.
