How to keep the object in place?
Thursday, March 24, 2005 8:00 PM
Well, im about to begin glassing entire trunk.. my question is, once you get everything glassed and ready to put in... what are some ways of attaching the object that's fiberglassed down the the bottom or walls etc. so that they wont come off or anything? I don't want anything that you can see like screws..
Thanks in advance

Glue? Clear Silicone? I don't really know anything, just an idea.

use sillicon and youlle be using a hammer to get it out.

most people screw it down, but they hide the screws.

Once silicone is dry it can be peeled up and removed from smooth surfaces. No hammer required. Silicone is one thing I do have experience with lol.

i would use double sided tape when fitting, once the finished product is achieved then i would use self taping metal screwes, and hid then with fabric, or even after everything is in place and if that is the way its going to stay for a long time, then, possibly glass the screws inplace. or make lips under the structure to screw into.
