Ok so I searched and didn't find the info I was lookin for. What I want to know is when you make the mold for the speaker pod for say a 6" speaker and having it facing up towards the driver...did you guys make the pod or do you buy it from somewhere and glass it on? If you bought it where did you buy it from? Also anyone with some custom door panels and pics..post them please I need more ideas before I start.

custom build the whole thing. all you need is a speaker ring(which you can make or buy), then take the door panel off, set it up how you want it with cut up pens and hot glue, then lay the glass over it.

this is obviously a very general description. if you need more details, shoot me an email, and id be glad to help ya out

i'm making my own. i built my pods on my door panels but it think this summer i'm going to end up laying some seran wrap or foil over that, fiberglassing a couple layers on top to use as a mold and then creating a fully fiberglass door panel. this way i won't have to worry about the fiberglass coming off the plastic. i didn't exactly prep it as well as i should have.

I did that in my sunfire. I put 6" fosgates in the door panel. I ended up taking it off because I was too lazy to bondo. But it actually wasnt that hard to do. I don''t have pics right now. I'll see if I can find them and post em up here.

That's a 3 way component setup in my sunfire.
