hey guys, I want to recover my rear seat to match my two new tenzo r's. I got the lower part removed (the part you sit on, ) but I need help taking the other piece off (the part where your back rests.) any help would be appreciated. and does anyone know a ballpark figure of how much it'll cost to recover the rear seat (both parts) ? thanks !

*If* I remember right, there is a pin or something buried deep in the cloth on one of the lower corners. Stick your finger in there and feel around.

i think you have to pull the seat back down towards you to around 45 degree angle, and slide to the left or right. i think thats how you do it

I just did this like 10 minutes ago in my '97. You tilt the seat down and on the passenger side, down by where it rotates, there is a little black clip. Pop the clip off. Slide the seat to teh passenger side and pull the other side out, then pull the seat out. Thats all it is.

It does not matter which way you pull it just make sure it is at a 45 degree angle and pull as hard as you can to one side then it will just have a little rod come out of a hole.

It has a little black plastic clip on the right side like was mentioned. That is what allows you to move it to the left side i thought and the metal rod comes out of the hole on the right side where you took the clip off at.Don't forget to remove the bottom half of the rear seats first.
