I searched it it seems like all of you just prime and paint with krylon. and while the results and quality you have vary it sounds like a good method so im not trying to offend anyone. I have real spray guns but i have never painted plastic before. Can i use the same paints i use for metals or is their something else? Im pretty sure the primer i have and clear coat will work on anything but i know how finiky paint can be and i dont want to have to learn from my own mistakes.
i have heard of people using regular exterior paint on the interior of their cars. i don't see why plastic would be a problem, just look at saturn.

i used flexible bumper and trim paint and primer on my dash. then i cleared it with rattlecan acrylic clear. it's been like that for a year now and looks just as good as when i did it
i think some people add a flex agent to the paint for interior

they make interior plastic paint...works on leather too....or at least i know dupont does...sprays just like the normal dupont paint...
you should prob. use Polyprimer. and some flex agents, just incase, dont know about you but I really dont wanna keep painting my interior because of`chips or cracks
I don't have flex agents in mine. I wouldn't tell someone not to use it but even without a flex additive you shouldn't have a problem with chipping if prep work is done correctly. I used a Urethane Primer on mine.

just make sure you clean the parts, clean them again, clean them again, and clean them even more..u want them as clean as you possible can get them or their going to fisheye..
I just sanded mine and sprayed them with that high temp engine paint for the base, (only type I could fine in the color I needed.) and then used those little cans of model paint for the top coat, and cleared it on my old cav.
i used the same primer i use on exterior metal and it stuck fine. im gonna sand it and as long as i dont see any problems i dont think the paint is going to matter seeing as now it will stick to the primer. ill let you guys know what happens. and im going to try it witout flex agent just cause i never use the stuff.
