buckets, are they worth it

I was currently looking into to some sparco buckets but when I went to pick it up it seemed like it was alot heavier than my stock seats. I thought that they were supposed to be lighter than stock? Is there cheaper and better buckets out there or are they are the same?

reducing the weight of a seat isn't going to have that much of an effect on the overall weight of the car... think of weight reduction along these lines, for every 100 lbs you take out, you can make up approximatly a 10th of a second. so racing seats are mostly to hold you in place better, not save weight.

and the seats most of us buy are a bit diffrent then the true racing racing seats, those are generally the seats that are one piece non reclinable if u check the weights on the non-reclineable ones youlle notice a big weight diffrence.
