what are the items u will need to take off my stock steerin wheel that has a air bag in it...i am buyin a steerin wheel off ebay that include the hub and quick release adapter wit it...is it really hard to put on this steerin wheel and is it worth it money wise
its not hard to put on but you will need to get
a steering wheel puller - the bar shaped one not the Y shaped one
and an air bag simulator so you wont have air bag lights turned on because you will no longer have a driver side airbag
Dumb question maybe... but what is the proper technique in removing the steering wheel with the airbag so it doesn't go off? Unhook battery and thats it? Would removing fuse too work?

Its not even legal to remove a steering wheel with an airbag. Its against state law, or so I read. maybe its just that way in Illinois?

im guesisn disconnect the negative on the battery, pump your brakes a few times till there is no power left ie they dont lite up and u should be good
disconnect all power to the car. go eat come back pull it. it is extremely simple
I just did this today. i pulled the negative off the battery, Turn the key to accesory and walked away for ten mins. came back pumped the brakes a few times then started to take the wheel off. i removed the horn wire and then while holding my breath and pointing the bag away from me removed the airbag wire. Hope that helps.
