Well, I've toyed with this idea in the past previously but just now decided that it's something I'd like to put into motion, because of the sudden massive influx of posts asking for LED help, etc.
I was wondering how interested people would be in a Group Purchase on
completely assembled LED setups. These would be LEDs that are completely wired up.
Simply connect them to a source and a ground point, and you're good to go!
These would be cheap. As a quick example, something like $7 shipped for a complete vent setup (10 red LEDs wired in parallel, soldered, using heat shrink wrap). As a reference point, 10 red LEDs from LSdiodes (my LED source) would run $8 shipped. All setup work would be performed by yours truly and they would be available in blue, red, amber, yellow, green, white, UV, and whatever color LED I can get my hands on. These would be available in all sorts of interior configurations - under dash, under seats, 95-05 HVAC, and map pockets would be what I start with.
If this hits off, I'll open up an entire product line - wheel wells, engine bay, you name it, I'd be able to do it (2k+ clusters however, are a story for another day).
So what's the interest look like?

Hey that sounds like some pretty resonable prices.....but first i would like to see some of your work first. If you throw up a few pictures of what the products actaully look like....i,m totally game for a few sets.

You want a look at the soldering joints, shrunken wrap, or the finished product?
I don't have the LEDs available at the moment for pictures of the work itself, but you can check my reg for pictures of the finished product.

Ok, here's a few shots.
Quick shot of a soldered joint. I didn't bother with shrink wrap here because it's a ground, and isn't as important here on my own setup. The LED has since been better hidden.

raptor knows what hes doing....im just gonna do this myself but for those of you who dont know how i suggest getting in on this
Prices sounds pretty resonable for the whole assembly how ever if you don't mind soldering and wiring yourself you can get led's on ebay real cheap. I've gotten 100 red ones with resistors for about 30 bucks after shipping.
you got ripped off if you payed 30 bucks for that off ebay.....100 leds off ebay should only be like 10 bucks - thats what i paid. and resistors can be bought at radio shack for cheap cheap cheap you basically spent more than 15dollars too much

And before anyone asks, yes, I was using the proper resistors on these.
I won't use ebay LEDs in these setups. As far as I'm concerned, they're not worth the shipping costs it takes to get them to my door. I'd much rather guarantee work quality than get them for a cheaper price - sorry.

i love your interior lighting raptor. i tried to do the vent lighting, and went cheap... .or so i thought and got some off ebay. they arent even the right color yellow.... and they're dim as @!#$e!!!
i would be interested in some vent lighting, but i want to make sure i am getting a yellow that will match my underdash neons.... unless i just get those too, and some map pockets, and maybe some underseats
