Replacing passenger airbag cover.

Is there some sort of glue that holds down the passenger airbag cover? I notice on mine that there is a brownish substance around the edge of the meeting of the cover and the vinyl...

Its held in by like 8 screws on the bottom.

8 torx bolts underneath the dash, four on each side.

Besides the 8 screws, GM did put some sort of glue on the corner of the airbag cover. It might be all around it as well IDK.

Really? That glue on mine must have rotted or something, because when I took out those eight torx bolts (note: four are shorter than the other four, pay attention to which side they go in), my airbag cover literally fell into my lap.

You just have to remove the top of the dash. Its only 5 minutes worth of work(after you have done it a few times).

Nice! I think i'll try coz I need to swap the front plastic trim of the dash who's near the windshield too, crappy tan interior ...why GM decide to put some crappy color inside?! lol

To swap that little "trim" piece next to the windsheild you need to swap in a WHOLE dash(its part of the main dash).
