HI,
I need to drill 2 holes into my firewall for my new Plasmaglow connector box. I'm planning to put it directly against the firewall in that large space directly behind the engine (I have an 03 Cav). There's a big flat area there that will work nicely. Question is, is there anything back there that I do NOT want to add more holes to? I keep picturing a fuel line, conduit, etc...
Otherwise I will just use the 3M body tape.
Thanks,
Steve

it's not a big deal, shouldn't be anything behind that. If you took off that plastic piece around your wipers and looked down, it's just empty space. Alot of people drill into their firewall if they get the gm strut mount. it's no biggie.
Just make sure it doesn't get too hot to mess up the box.
OK Thanks - I figure thats the flattest area that's also pretty far from the heat.

Im assuming ur talking about a LED Underglow junction box? I just mounted mine in the engine compartment behind the battery (my stock airbox is removed).
If you are talking about the 10,000 volt power transformer for neons... Your firewall is your best bet.
If you do find someplace else to mount it, and need to run wires (well youll need to run wires anyway...) I just used a knife and cut a slit in the gromet that is already there. Its like a big gromet in a 6 inch hole for about 1.5 inches of wire.

Operation has gone smoothly so far - now to figure out how to get under this car to install the tubes...
Thanks for the input,
Steve
