i just recently had my first attempt at fiberglassing (just a piece of cardboard to practice) and i went to pour some acetone in a plastic cup to dip the brush in, and before i knew it, the acetone had completely eaten through the plastic and proceeded to go all over the place. So i was just wondering what you guys all use to hold the acetone in, thanks

yep get a glass container, or line the plastic with some aluminum foil.
are you sure it was acetone?
did you just use a regular yogurt cup?
i went to wally world and just bought a hard plastic measuring cup in the cooking department and i didnt have any problem with the actone eating through that plastic...it was like $2.50 for a set of 3

Hmm...kinda off topic. I was thinking about using Acetone to clean up my plastic interior pieces before painting them.
Does anyone know if this would end up ruining the plastic?
