I used a blue sharpie...worked very well....Your best bet would be to use paint thinner to remove the peachish color on the back of the needles ( do not remove the needles if your car is a 2000+), use a brush or something if you can't remove the needles. Then use whatever color permanent marker you wish...if it doesn't glow the way you like, then white-out the back of the needle and it should help. Basically, just play around with it, and be careful not to remove or break the needles if you have a newer cav.

Sean: i will be trying your method today, for my needles. i have a 96 cavy so i will be able to take them off to white-out the back of them. i hope this method works. I'm going to walmart to get a blue sharpie. so you're saying just paint the front of the needles with the blue sharpie and thats it right?

What Sean did what what I did to my '01 Cavy. Just make sure you do 1 smooth stroke with the sharpy. otherwize you'll end up with waves in the color

I kinda messed up on mine, and put on the blue a little to thick on the sides and front....so not much light gets through at night, however, the dark needles are actually easy enough to see at night on the bright overlay I have. Works for me, but not what I was expecting. I actually followed DeadBob's instructions (with my own minor touches) that I read on another forum.

They sell something on ebay I saw a while ago. Changed your needles like a light flouresent blue. Looked really nice just never got it. But its ebay so i cant back it up on the quality or the longevity of the product.
