Hello Guys; heres the problem earlier today, i took apart my dash to paint the needles blue, and when i was done, my gauge needles aren't working now . I dont know what going on, but if someone could help me that would be great.
by the way the needles turned out ugly. my cluster is black, so that could be a reason why. i painted the front and back of the needles blue with a marker. did i do this right?
What kind of car do you have? If it is a 00+ Cavalier, the people say you shouldn't remove the needles since it breaks their motor or something like that. If you left them on the cluster when you used the marker, there should not have been a problem. Did you move the needles while coloring them?
i have a 96 cavy, and i moved the needles while i was painting them.
Move them back to where they were, and then see what happenes.
“Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely
true.
Cannon fodder is my daddy.
Fill your tank, remove the needles. Start the car, let it get to operating temperature. Put the needles where they should be.
Check your speed on the highway with a friend. RPM on a 2.4/4speed auto at 70mph is about 3000.
