well, if you work at my pace, you'll be done fiberglassing by 2049. lol laying the glass itself isn't long, it's just the sanding that takes some time. if you're new at it i'd honestly say that depending on how intricate your plans are july might be a little too early of a deadline for you. you might work fast though and get it all done by then. i just know that the first time i tried it i wouldn't have been able to get it done that quick. as far as cost to have a pro do it, it'll be a LOT. try to find some places around you that do it and ask for prices though cause every place is different.

are you just wanting the shiny painted look with the stock pieces, or are you saying you want a completly scratch built custom fiberglass interior? if u want the first, it can be done with a sander and some time. u could do it yourself and have a body shop spray it for you for a couple hundred bucks, if your want the second option look at spending problaby 2 grand all the way up to 10 grand depending on how custom u want to go.

the first one sounds good .... would i just get a body shop to paint it then like you said? that would look nice. my interior is painted now but its sticky and doesnt look professional at all . doesnt look bad but not show material ... so your saying if i just sand it down to a smooth finish i can take it to getit painted? that would suit me just fine..... thanks for the imput

where do you live? I live in Michigan, if you live close I can help you do it or sell you some pieces. I have taken the interior of my car apart a lot of times. Jeremy

take everything plastic and sand it down then paint it, it will look shiny like f/g, take the top of the dash and use a razor blade to get the vinyl off and sand and paint...

yeah sand it down smooth, no texture whatsoever, and i mean no texture, the paint will not hide any flaws you have in the piece matter of fact any flaws will be more visable when its painted, so take your time and make sure the piece is completly smooth, i started with 80 grit then when all the texture was gone, i went to 180, then 220. then i had the body shop prime it with high build primer, then i wetsanded the primer with 400 grit, then they sprayed it with two coats of base and two coats of clear. to many people want to scrimp to cut costs and they wind up unhappy in the end, ive had my interior like this for 4 years and not a crack or chip or scratch on it. all the silver cost me under 180$ to have painted.
