Got Speedhut gauges in a month or 2 ago - everything works great, but my fuel gauge only goes down as far as 1/4 tank and stops, even when I am really low on gas. It goes all the way up when I fill the tank, and goes immediately back to "E" when the ignition is off, so I don't think the Speedhut face is affecting it - any ideas? I got 6000 left on my warranty, but the dealer will just blame it on the gauges...
Thanks,
Steve

id say take the overlay off, and try it then. see if it still does it. if it does, take it to the dealer with the overlays off
thats wierd though

he CANT take it to the dealer... they'll see that he replaced that @!#$... and bam... they'll blame the problem on that and not have to fix nething. did u not see when he told you that?
that's the bad thing with dealerships... they don't want to take responsibility for anything... they like to blame all the car problems on the things that we do to our car... i even had one guy go so far as to tell me that if i changed my deck in my car it would void my warranty... i almost laughed in his face.
only 2 things that will truely void your warranty... cold air intake that you have installed... or if you have performance exhaust installed... and that's only if they can prove that when it was installed it @!#$ up your car.
mines been acting up too... when i put some gas in(like half a tank) it goes up, then down, then down, then up a little, and then after like 20 minutes it calms down. the other day it told me i had a quarter tank, when i didnt have anything and i just ran out of gas(it was really gay pushing my car to a gas station..)
Could be a bad sender in the pump? I think that might be mine...I will have a near-empty tank, and I can put in $5 (which is like 2 gallons) and the gauge will jump to a half tank and stick there until one day it dropped down to the bottom, almost...

Why cant he take it, i think you need to reread his post. Take it off, see if it fixes it, if not guess what.... the overlay is off, and it looks like stock again. How will they ever know?
as for yor last part about CAI and exhaust voiding warranty, CAI will void your warranty on your stock bong and box, maybe if u dont have a bypass valve and you burry it in water that will too.
They have to be able to prove that your mod caused the problem.
I can think of a handful of items that will void your warranty so CAI/exhaust are not the only things. Turbo... N2O... the list goes on

thank you for explaining for the illiterate. theres no way they'd know he had em on.
ps- they dont void the entire warranty, just the parts that were taken out to be replaced by aftermarket
