Well pretty much done. I have to wait for my body ki to be ready for paint because hes going to paint this box at the same time. Here is my progression through my first fiberglass experience. Lots of reading, lots of beer, lots of cursing followed by lots of filler and lots of sanding gave me this:

Sounds about the same as it did in my previous sealed box. It doesnt flex at all to my suprise but I guess 3 layers of fiberglass gets you a pretty solid structure

Doesnt look bad at all for the first time doing it, it could use some more filler/sanding tho. If you want it to be perfect, then guide coat it and then block it to find your high and low spots.

Are you going to have it covered, or are you having it painted?

It's almost too tall to see the subs well (or so it seems). What if you mounted it so the subs faced the rear of the car?

Oh and it's very original... I'm tired of always seeing the same V-shaped design in every trunk... Nice job!

type "e" come on should sprung for at least some "r" or "s" types but anyway looks great for first try...glad to see you did something different

looks good man, doesnt look like you would that good of sound from the way it sits in the trunk but came out real good i like it alot.

Yeah it still needs work but I wont be able to get it painted for another 1-2 weeks and I was tired of not having any bass so I put them in. Plus I wanted to see how it would fit and sound before I finished it up.

Hey man, those things have nice tight bass and if I want I turn up the gain and it will make my rearview mirror come down. So I am very happy with them.

not to bad but looks like it still needs a ton of filler and sanding before its ready for paint.

E series are just fine. thats what i have. 2 e 12's and omg they pump is all i can say.

and frankly i dont have the moola for R's sicne the E's are 120 a piece as it is

^^^^ A buddy of mine put 3 type s 12's in his blazer, and he got them for $150 a piece. They are the new versions, and i dont think they were on sale or anything. I dont see paying another $50 bucks for the type R when all you gain is 100w. The type x is a different story, i would love to have one of those.
