Hey, I did a search and couldn't find any info.... anyone have this problem...
The HVAC knob that controls where the fan blows (the one all the way to the right) won't turn to it's extreme right or left. When i turn it to the defrosters it springs back 3 positions like i held i sping out an dthen let it go. This being broken it is leaving me with no front defrosters...kinda tricky to drive in our lovely PA weather. lol I was thinking about pulling that entire HVAC assembly out, it looks like it just bolts in like the HU, and trying to take it apart and see if i can fix it.... Any one that can help please let me know.
just go to the junkyard and pic one up, it would only be a few dollars, and take maybe 5 minutes to get out.
If you have a warranty, take it back to your dealer and make them fix it. It sounds like there could be something in the path behind the HVAC panel, or that a spring broke somewhere.
your cable is binding behind the dash happend to mine it got mositure in it and it corrodedded. they replaced the cable and it works fine now. not sure how to replace it mine was under warrenty
no warranty,j i have 55k miles on it
I'm going to take it apart and see what i can do...
