Well I just started the first of my interior today. fiberglassed over those holes in the door panel and fiberglassed the part where the material was behind the door handle.

he is using it to cover the holes so he gan almost get the glass flat over the pockets i think... but its not the best idea IMO b/c when he blocks the panel, the glass sits higher than the rest of the panel so its prettmuch gonna come of is he blocks it right....

I filled my pockets with expandable foam and then shaved it to the contours of the panel and then sanded the down into the pockets like 1/4 of and inch. then layed glass over that and then sanded and it was even with the panel. So i pretty much compensated for the thickness of the glass

Thanx for the feedback clay. I think I've got the lines looking good now though. I am going to be out for the next 2 weeks but when i get back i'll show the finished product.

thats kinda what im getting at, now you either have to raise the majority of area up to meet the matting or your going to have a high spot.
