I got fed up with the dash creaking in my 2001, only 16000km, everything checked and tight, but but kept creaking and driving me nuts. I sprayed silicone lube in all the dash joints and it virtually eliminated all the creaking.

sounds like something i gotta do cause mine rattles real bad since i took it off to put in a new deck
I make my passenger push on wherever the creaking is comign from, if its creaking.
If Im alone, I turn the radio up, or just whack it a few times.
