hi, i need some urgent help here...
well my car , when going on normal roads with every little street imperfection or bump, it rattles, and rattles hard! hehe, when i get into ugly roads it rattles even worst, my headliner,my dash, my rear deck, everything sounds, but specially the doors...
i disassembled all my 4 doors but now they seem to rattle even more and i couldnt find the problem, recently, I dissassembled them again and found out that the things that rattle are inside the door and not exactly the door panels ...my handle-lock mechanisms (im talking about the two rods that action them) and something of my power windows, i think its the motor but i dunno, they seem to be loose the problem is that i dont know how to fix the rattles, i tried some rubber between them but no, and the hole in there is just to little to work properly, my question is, is there something useful i could do? any tips? any thing to retighten in there?
any help would be appreciated
and now that im dissasembling my doors, i was thinking on also dissasembling my dash and roof, and well, everything, cause ever single pannel im my car rattles and its driving me crazy, and probably using fatmat so it rattles a little bit, i would like to know, if im going to take out the whole interior, or at least the necessary to apply the fatmat on all the spots i need, including the floor, what should I take first, what specific tools will i need, and any other tip u guys can show me...

well I have taken the doors apart many times and i have a rattle too... check the ends of the rods..the have a little plastic clip on each end to stop the rod from makin little rattle noises..try that out make sure there there and don't have play..let me know if that was your problem.

i got a real annoying rattle on my passenger side door, im gonna look at it when it gets a lil nicer out.

Have u tried drivin around with the door panel off ? might be easier to figure out where the sound is comin from.

mine was doing this on my last j. There is a metal brace in there about 3 inches under the handle that has a 10mm bolt on each side. I tightened that down and it was fine.

do u guys think that the fatmat could help reducing the rattles inside my door or its only for road noise deadening?... if its worthy i would like to know the procedure to dissasemble all my interior in order to apply the layers... thanx

check the rivets on the metal plate that the door handle screws to (the two screws that go in the door pull handle)

the fatmat may help a little, but i think its mostly for sound deadening.
