Got talking to a guy at work who has a old style hotrod. I was talking about dying my carpet black (from charcol gray), he says he used black shoe polish, just rubbed it on real good, and wiped with a towel. Says it works great.
Has anyone ever heard of this? I grabbed some black polish yesterday and tried it under the seat and it looks like it works and looks pretty decent, but I am wondering how long it will last???
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Depends on the climate, your tidyness habits, people who ride with you, and whether or not you have floor mats to protect is.
Never heard of it tho, that's the just the usual criteria for dying carpet.

Thats what I figured, As long as I kept it clean it would be fine. Just seems like an unusual method.
yeah until the summer time!!!!! its an old trick yes I've heard of it, but what happens to wax type materials when they heat up anywhere over 100 degrees. exactly. it will smell like shoe polish and your Kswiss wont be white anymore.
