i was wondering how to remove the rear fold down seat help is appriecated and what about removing insulation for wieght savings dont try to talk me out of it
thanks Nick
ummm... you could search for this one..... just tilt the seat to 45 degrees then push it toward the pass. side from the drivers side, that will get it off the hinge on the drivers side, then just pull it out. when it goes back in make sure to get it on the post hinge on the pass side first.... search next time.
ya thats basically it, i took mine out today
If its a fire.....fold it forward 45 deg....there should be a spacer on the left (pass) side, pry that off, then slide it to the left and the right side will come out.
it actually requires a bit of muscle and finesse the first time i took mine out it probably took me about 15 minutes to figure the stupid thing out (and i had read the manual) worst case scenerio theres a plastic clip in there and thats the ONLY thing you can possibly break however that is unlikely everything else is metal. In other words dont be afraid to use some muscle when trying to pull it out.
someone might have mentioned this i don'T feel like reading lmao.. but there is a little black plastic clip on the passenger side of the rear back rest on the rod you have to take off.. it's just a push on clip for when you put it back later... and by the way.. the seat's insulation will give you like 10 bls at most lol... if you want to reduce weight.. might as well just take the whole seats off.. cause there's a big metal plate behind the back rest.. that's where most of the weight is
im going to try it today thanks. what about other insulation? i want to be light like a type r hahaha hahaha next maybe the air conditioner no wait its hots this summer. but thanks sincerely Nick
also i dont want unwanted passengers hahahahahah
thanks i took the clip off and removed the seat like yous said thanks very much
