Carpet rising, water entering?
Friday, June 03, 2005 7:55 AM
I have recently been noticing that in my 03 ls sport coupe cav that the carpet on the driverside-back seat has been rising, kinda bubbly as if water is entering in the bottom. Coul that be a good reason or could it be moisture? Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't dumped any water in the back (why would I), and I still have my warranty on my car, could that be covered for it? I need to call my dealer if it is, I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't, but let me know for certain please.

Thanks in advance!!!

All the way under my driver side floor there is water too and I don't know why. Under the carpet and the padding, there is a small puddle. My friend said it may be a loose screw on the floor panel. It could possibly be a small rust hole in your case with an 03, but doubtful.

I had the same problem on my 04 the first week I had it. My drivers side front and rear floor was wet. Took it to the dealership and made them replace all the carpet and fix it. They never said what caused it but they should repair it under warrenty for you. I haven't had any problems since then.
