autometer a pillar pod

To anyone that has the pod ( 2 gauge), what color does the plastic molding come in? I was just curious to see if it was possible to get it in gray (my color) or if it came in black or whatever. If you did paint, what success did you have matching it up? Thanks guys.

I think they only have it in Black, but Lotek might have it in graphite, check with Jason at http://www.aplusperformance.com

I think it comes in black and graphite. You can paint the pod and your dash the same color

The Auto Meter dual & single pods come in black only... Let me know if you need an Auto Meter pillar or Lotek pillar. I have both in stock.

Jason, do any come with the graphite color? Black is ok I guess, but I was hoping for a really close match. Also, the Lotek is only a 3 gage and Autometer a 2 gage, correct?

The Lotek full triple gauge pillars come in black or graphite.
The Auto Meter bolt on gauge pods come in dual or single gauge options, and only in black.

I was thinking to make a custom install for an Autometer single pod. Just like the boost gauge looks inside the Cobal SS interior.

My idea is to mark the zone of pod in the oem pillar plastic part, cut a space equivalent to the single pod, glue and reinforce it and finally paint it to the original match color.

Then friends I will like to know some suggestions for a good spray paint for plastic that last and match the same grey or pewter color. Brands and color codes are welcome. Also any pic about how look the autometer installed (borders match), would be highly appreciated.

What do you think? Pros and cons about this autometer pillar pod installation are welcome.

Regards,
