I use a window crank removal tool. They're available at most auto parts stores.

itsa repost x 1 billion

go to auto zone and get the window crank removal tool

some will say to just use a rag...but chances are...if your gonna take your door panel off then your gonna take it off more than once...so go the easy route and save yourself some frustration and time and spend the 3 dollars at autozone or pep boys or whatever for the tool

i assume it isn't working because YOUR doing something wrong, mine looks like that except its powdercoated black and works perfectly

I couldn't get the window tool that I bought to work either. Instead take a metal fork (dollar store or junk store) and break the tines off, leaving one. Bend that tine about 1/8-1/4" from the end (may have to heat to avoid breakage), and use that to snag the clip. A stiff piece of wire, screw driver, etc. may also work.

umm no, actually, the groove is too wide and it won't catch on to the end of the c-clip, so i'm gunna have to find an alternate way to remove it.

i bent my end prongs slightly to get mine to work better, but it will still work if its to large, u just need to pop one side of the c-clip off. a towel also works just as good, if you still cant get it off with either of those, your going to need to find a friend to do it for you. cant get much easier then those two ways.

if u got the clip off u have the window crank off. just pop the c-clip back on the handle , then when u push the handle on the crank, it will lock in place

I thought it was pretty easy. Just used a flat head screw driver. And putting the clip back it was simple, line it up with the handle and push.
