Simple as that i was wondering wether i use dye or spray paint, as i pressed down and it was kinda foamy and i figured that mihgt not be plastic and i figured better safe than sorry.

Buy vinyl dye. It'll work on either, so its the safe bet.

dash is DEFFINATELY vinyl. no doubt about that... only real plastic in the car are the vents and the pillars
