How do I Keep Convertible Doors From Rattling?
Wednesday, July 06, 2005 2:03 AM
I have a vert with power windows and they rattle like hell when down. Is there anything in the door that could be missing or shot inside the door? It sounds like the glass is hitting metal and is cheap and bad sounding.

Anyone got any secrets?

Chris

Check the edge of the glass near the mirror there are white plastic spacers the mount on the glass. May be missing a few of them...Also remove door panel and check the flt pads are up against the glass........Try these all i know for know

It can very well be the 2 rods for the interior lock and handle.
Solution:
Put a lightly dense foam piece behind the metal plate to tighten up the slack. Shoot some litheum grease so the rods slides freely aswell.
