I had some scrap CF with adhesive backing lying around and rolled these out this AM....
Bracket by strut tower:
I've got strut tower caps coming tomorrow from Canada. They'll be made of polished billet with 2" CF centers that I made. I'll post pics soon - hopefully they will tie this area in nicely. Nothing ruins an engine bay like those towers with the rusty nut inside.
Power Steering Reservoir (not sure about this one - looks better in real life) :
And my positive terminal cover is NOT orange! It's red but the chrome tube is shining weird light on it.
Let me know what you think. I'm thinking of doing a few other areas and selling these in sets so you can put CF in a few places that nobody makes the 3D molds for.
Maybe some day, one of these companys will realize the potential of finishing what RK Sport started.
If I had the talent and machinery, every single piece of the Cavaliers would be available for sale.
Thanks,
Steve

I like the idea. The bracket would look awesome if the whole thing was cf (replacement piece). The ps reservoir would probably look better if it wrapped around. good ideas tho.
Yeah I wanted to wrap it, but the CF sheeting breaks after a certain bending limit.
I gotta get my act together and find out how to do 3D stuff. I just don't have the space right now.

I like the bracket, it seems to work better than the power steering reservoir. I'm sure it looks better in person, but the pictures make it look too much like a sticker (which it is i guess...
)
I know its not what you're promoting, but I just have to say that the cf rksport resevoir cover with your cf engine caps look fantastic together.
Will your tower caps be available for sale?
Thanks - I'm pretty happy with that combo, too.
I do not make the strut tower caps, but I am in the middle of a deal with the guy who does make them. I'm going to do some marketing for him to get his name out there and sell his stuff on my site. I will sell the CF-centered ones as well.
I hope to have mine in the morning - I'll take a pic and probably start a gp next week. I just want to make sure they fit OK, etc. before getting others involved.

Yeah well it seems you rarely have anything nice to say about anyone else's car from what I've read in here...as soon as I saw that you had posted, I knew it would be negative.
No prob, though. And they aren't CF stickers - it's real CF.

By the way, most people "aren't a fan" of exterior graphics.
I, however, think you make that work very well with your car.

Question for ya... The CF stickers on your caps... are they on your site (with all the stock writing on them)? Email me about them if possible. thanks

Id hafta tend to disagree, there is a huge difference between vinyl and real cf. Cf vinyl is the tackiest thing a person can do to their car imo. I like the fact that its real cf not fake stuff thats what matters imo. I ordered a 1ft by 2ft piece of real cf Im gonna cover the defrost vent I think that would be a good piece to sell too steve especially if you have the airbag cover.
Are you talking about covering the whole big center vent? You may end up losing quite a bit of your air flow...
Yeah, the CF decals are pure crap - I have a competitor (actually, several) on eBay who sell a lot of the same stuff I do, but its made out of that. And they are really careful about the way they word their auctions, too, so it sounds like they are selling the real deal.
Another of my competitors sells the airbag cover - I personally do not like it. He can give you a better deal than I could, anyway. My cutter charges way too much for me to really profit on stuff that big.
Thanks,
Steve

No not the whole vent, just the outer edge (ring) around the vent it looks to be like a half inch or so. Yea I already have the aibag cover and know of the history between you two. I like you both, very nice quality on both ends Ill not post my opinions on the matter dun wanna get another huge fight goin or anything like that. Im also still interested in that gauge bezel of yours when will you have some of these in stock as like a reagular product?
I'll have a gp for them very soon.
Yeah, just doing the outer edge ain't a half bad idea.
I wasn't posting anything bad about my local competitor - I was mostly referring to the guys who sell the cheap stuff on eBay.
His stuff is the real deal, too.

i like it. you do nice work
I have the same question as Riki Knight.
I'll do a GP for those around the same time as my other one. I just want to make sure I have plenty in stock so you guys can get your stuff right after you pay.
Thanks,
Steve

yeah man If you make a defroster vent cover like mentioned before I WILL buy it Ive wanted one for a while would you make it be just around it or would it have cuts where it slants down inbetween the vent lines do ya know what I mean?... Ohh and can you do custom carbon fiber work now like it says on your site? like If I sent you a peice of my car can you wrap it? I want the whole center dash peice that goes over your hvac head unit, speedo, and 2 center vents completly permanently covered in CF the three upper center console peices that pop up done permanetly too. Also the power mirror switch top and the not the vent but the one all the way to the right that has a square trim piece around it done. Ohh and the 96 speedo gauge bezel and the 2 peices behint the steering wheel that covers the switches permanatly covered. Ill send all parts most are 3D though but if you think your up to it you got some $$$$ coming from me. That hopfully would help you too cause you could do measurments on my parts or molds and expand your inventory that would be sweet its hard to get stuff like this for a cavalier....
looks pretty sweet , now post a pic of the whole engine bay , so we can judge the entire look

to me carbon fiber parts are parts made out of carbon fiber to lessen the weight. to me personally wether its a real c/f stickon or vinyl c/f doesnt matter. if your just adding it on top of the original piece its just fake to me.
blu cav customs. sorry you feel everything i post about other cars is negative, i really think its pretty rare when i down on someones car. i will tell them if i think they took the easy way out. and i may tell them things to do to make it better next time, that to me isnt downing on anyone, its just telling them that sometimes there are right ways of doing things, and sometimes there are ways that are just going to end up with less the great results.
and for the graphics, thast an old pic, graphics have been gone for about 3 years now.

Carbon Fiber started out as a way to lighten the car (and it still is) but it has evolved into more than that.
Carbon Fiber is a look. Otherwise, they wouldn't make it in so many different colors and textures. It would all be just black.
Carbon Fiber is a rare combination of space age and luxury. It adds texture and sheen to areas of the car that used to be plain. If you see it as only a performance enhancement you are only getting half the fun of it. To me, CF is an art form.
http://www.bluecavcustoms.com
to me the fun of it would be to remove the bracket, coat it with release wax. lay up some carbon fiber on it maybe a couple layers depending on the strength needed, then pull the original piece off , clean it up trim it down if nessicary then wetsand it nice and smooth and shiny. and use the new carbon fiber piece. to me they will always be just stickers wether they used real carbon fiber or something fake. just a diffrence of opinion is all.

Yeah one of these days I'm gonna learn how to do that. Not today though - too hungover!
