I'm going to be painting some of my interior pieces and want to know what a good primer to use is. Is there a special primer for plastics? Also, I know they have paint for plastics in spray cans, but I have a nice gun that I'd like to use for a better coating. Do they have the same paint for plastics in regular cans that I can put in my gun?

Yup a high build urethane primer works great.

i will ask micheal he painted his and it looks awesome. he is going to do mine.
no need for a primer at all no need for a adhshhion promoter too no need for flex agent
each paint system has there own interior paint ppg has dcc and i am sure like all other system it comes in differnt degree`s of gloss
so what i do is this i clean the trim panle with dx 330 then i use a grey scuff pad blow it off one more time with dx 330 and spray the interior paint that simple
if you sand off the texure i know ppg makes a plastic primer made just for plastic use that do not use a high build primer for a plastic interior piece it is not made to stick to plastic it is made to stick to metal
the adheshion promotpr is used for a raw plastic not already painted plastic you will have a big problem if you did
flex agent is made for one thing and one thing only to help the cave man of a body fender tech to ease the install of a plastic piece, any base coat and interior paint is flexable already
hope that helped
