Why hasn't this post been either moved or deleted?

It has nothing to do with the interior forum - my posts get moved within SECONDS if the Moderator feels like it...

I have made my stance perfectly clear on how I feel about people asking about their orders here in the forums. It's BS and wastes everyone's time

I DID email you back. I do not make the decals any more and have forwarded your order to the person who does.

Anyone who doubts my integrity can check out my current GP where I have bent over backwards to keep my customers happy.

The next person who comes in here to bitch about an order will receive a full refund and cancellation of all future orders. I'm tired of this crap. I'm perfectly happy to just make stuff for my own car and stop offering it altogether.

No offense intended to those who have the common sense not to do this kind of crap.

Steve

wow, chill dude. just because you may have said it once or twice asking someone not to post questions like this in the forums doesn't mean everybody got the memo. this little outburst of yours is completely uncalled for, and quite unprofessional. if you truely do "bend over backwards" for customers, reply in a professional manner, rather than insulting them and ranting about it. he's asking for help, so just help him. if you want to earn a good reputation around here, you'd better start with your own attitude.

yeah i think you were alittle to harsh , you should know as well as most of us people dont search , more so when they are kinda pieved about something

believe me i understand getting pissed about stupid stuff , i get it all day long at work

i get people that email me asking questions ,and when i reply my email gets bounced back or end up in their spam folder , and they send more emails getting more pissed off each time and i cant reply back cause the problem is on their end

ive even had to send some people a email from a yahoo or gmail address just so it gets through

try to relax a little(both of you) , i know i want some parts youll be selling soon

I don't blame Blue Cav Customs... If he custom does all his stuff and puts time and energy into it, why shouldn't he be allowed to say whatever? Just because someone doesn't get a CUSTOM order done, they post about it and it makes him look like he does bad business. He doesn't have to make stuff and offer to anyone, he does that just out of being a good guy, and if it isn't appreciated, hell, I'd walk away too.

sorry steves a good guy but i disagree...nobody does it because there a "good guy"..if they did that then they wouldnt get any profit from it...they do it because of supply and demand...they have something other people want so they can make money off of it...and i dont blame him for taking that opportunity,.,,,if you have something to offer then by all means exploit it and make money off of it

BUT

your attitute needs fixxing steve... this happens alot with all companies on here..and you would get much better results coming on here and tellin him that "everything is alright" andf reassuring everyone else on here that if there is a problem then you will solve it than saying you will refuse him service if he asks about you again

I'm not trying to show attitude - I'm just sick of this.

FIrst of all, it should be in the General Forum - not in here.

Secondly, the Moderator should have moved it. Plain and Simple. Like I said, my stuff gets moved all the time, and I don't mind it if I have indeed posted in the wrong forum. That's the Mods' job after all. But what does this guys' post have to do with the Interior of a J? Why was my business left hanging here for everyone to read?

I'm not trying to tell the Mods what to do, but c'mon. You could have helped me out.

Now, I will explain to you why I get upset when people do this:

Most companies pay HUGE dollars to get their name out there. I cannot afford that kind of marketing yet, so I rely on the generosity of the forumers' word of mouth. For every 20 posts where someone says something nice about my service or products it takes only ONE post like that to unravel it. People want their stuff right away when they order it (I am no exception). When people hear that it's taking a long time for someone to get something and also hear that that person has been ignored by my company, they associate my name with bad service. And then I have to start all over again to get those 20 posts to erase that image from everyone's mind. I have studied marketing and I know what I am talking about.

And it does not matter if my reply email got put in a spam folder or if the package I mailed got stolen. In the end, I am the person who gets their name tarnished.

I appeciate the comments of those who defended me. And yes, of course I profit from selling my stuff here. I also help support the JBO financially by buying GP space and maintaining a Premium membership. We are all supposed to help eachother - it IS a community after all.

It's really no big deal I guess. I will obviously keep selling my stuff to the JBO community (someone has to help pay for all this expensive crap )

I did not mean to be unprofessional, but felt the need to defend myself and my rep.

As far as I'm concerned the matter is finished. He has received an email and will hopefully have no further need to mention me here (I accidentally left a product taht I no longer sell on my site that he bought without my knowledge and I have passed the order along to someone who will help him). I have also removed my website from my sig until I can take the steps to keep this from happening again. Well, I'm getting ready to after this...

Now I need 20 people to post something nice! hehe

No hard feelings - take it easy on me a little. I'm a hell of a nice guy once you take the keyboard away from me!

Steve

you already have atleast 40 good posts and i haven't seen any bad ones so we dont need to post good stuff ...lol

OK, let's let this thread "sink to the bottom" of the sea where it belongs. I do not believe any further good shall come of it...

There's plenty of Interior stuff that we all need to discuss so we can get these cars comfy and full of electronic goodies!

I'm sure you want it to sink to the bottom becuase how you just treat your customer was terrible. He waited two weeks and didnt deserve your reaction to his post. I think most people including myself dont mind waiting on parts as long as they are kept informed of whats going on.
Re: blue cav customs

myself and the other moderators will make the decision to move a thread or not. this kind of thread can really go in any of the technical forums, as long as it pertains to a product or question about that forum's specific related material. there's no need to move this to general if he wants to know about interior parts, or get ahold of you about an order of parts for the interior of his car.

i understand what you're saying about having 1 or 2 threads that can tarnish a company's reputation, but how you handle the situation reflects more on your character than what was originally posted. as long as you handle it in a mature and professional manner, and help resolve the situation quickly, there's a greater chance that people will see your actions to resolve the situation in a positive way than the thread as a whole in a negative way. if you sit there and rant about the way the person tried getting ahold of you, you're digging the hole even deeper. the best reply you could have made in this thread would be something to the effect of [i["hey man, sorry about the delay, i sent you an e-mail back and your stuff should be taken care of soon. i don't make (whatever part) anymore, but i forwarded the order to someone who does." notice a huge difference? don't blame a thread for tarnishing your reputation if you didn't act in a positive way to handle the situation.

im not trying to dog you or anything, im trying to offer you advice to help you out. i do know quite a bit about customer service, so either take this advice and help yourself out or ignore it, that's up to you. now we'll let this thread die.
