are you planning on just selling the covers, are are u wanting people to send in their olde covers. i know most local places will polish your cover for around 50-75$ u could cut your costs that way as well.

no i buy them locally, and im gonna start on polishing them tommorrow, then post pics for everyone to see the quality then sell them. and from what ive seen 100 is too much so i'll sell them for 75 + shipping

i just don't want to be bothered with core charges and stuff and its not like im gonna do this forever, i just look at the guy on ebay selling them for 180 and get sick.......he's ripping off people and i know i can offer a better deal. but first i need to crank out a couple of covers.

stay tuned for pics

I alrady do this and I charge $75.00. but I don't want to get into the whole shipping thing ( bad experence before ) I've done a couple local and they all polish up real good
Not trying to steel any business Mike thats why I'm only staying local.

Good luck man.

no i know your not trying to cut into me jackalope.......like i said before im just sick of seeing people getting ripped off and know i can offer a better deal, yeah it seems like im making a ton of profit even at 75 a cover but.......you gotta figure i gotta drive 30 miles to get the parts, remove the parts myself, buy the parts, buy the materials to polish them, polish the parts, then package and ship them......so when you figure in labor rates 75 bucks is a good deal i think

and steve........i'll have pics up soon, mabey......mabey, don't hold me to this, but mabey this weekend

I would definately be interested in a 2200 cover for that price. Can't buy it now, but in November or December I should have the cash. Since you're gauging interest, just thought I'd register mine.

Are you talking about a How-To on polishing your own valve-cover? You'd be my hero.

Mike should we make this a how to? Or do we want to make lots of money?

HERO ( on one hand )------------------------------------------------------ MONEY ( on the other )

I don't know maybe a please would help.

Anyone else want to do it themselves? I'm not a dick. I'm all for helping someone
learn something new. But since this involves Mike too I won't tell if he doesn't want me
to. Not that he's a dick either mind you but he is trying to eat.
