I want to clean my engine. I know you can go buy engine cleaner for this applicaton but I would like to know from you guys what works the best. Simple green maybe. And if so would you dillute or straight? And I'm am deathly afraid of spraying water all over my engine with all those electric parts. Do I have to cover all the parts? Thanks

I used this can of engine cleaner that came in a spray can from pep boys. Its was orange? I sprayed it on, let it sit for a few minutes and just sprayed it off. I didn't use the pressure wash on it, just a light rinse, enough to get all the cleaner off and make the engine shiny, lol. You don't really have to worry about getting the electrical parts, just don't concentrate the water on them. When I clean my engine, I tend to stay away from the battery, the alternator, and big bundles of wires near the ECU and what not. Other then that, I haven't had a problem doing it.
