Re-install of dash... promlems
Sunday, August 07, 2005 5:40 PM
Ok, a few weeks ago I took the entire dash out of my car and painted it. Today I put most of it back in (all except the bezel and pad). But I now have 2 problem (that I've noticed).

1. My AC doesn't work at all. The lights are on, but nothing else works. Everything is hooked up.

2. The odometer doesn't work. All the other gauges in the cluster seem to be working fine, along with all the lights. The odometer is just blank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the world of taking your dash apart. Where your lights and amoung other things wont work. Check your fuses and make sure everything is actualy hooked up, might have knocked something loose when you were taking it apart. Our cars dashes dont like to be takin apart.

I haven't had an odometer for over a year. I have everything plugged in securely too. Good luck trying to fix it. I'm just going to get a whole new cluster that works.

Well, let me know if a new cluster fixes the problem.

Anyone know what I can do to try and fix the AC?

odometer going out seems to be a recurring issue with taking the dash out. Did you have the cluster out as well? May have to solder in a new bulb or if you're 00+ you may need a new cluster...
