i finished dying my fabric on my 4 doors black, and the can is almost empty......anyone else have to use so much, or am i doing something wrong. it seems like im gonna need another can for my backseat and one more for the headliner.....is this normal?

I had to use a full can on each door...cause the orginal color kept bleeding through...but yea...it sucks...my dash took 2 cans..I'm scared to see what my headliner's gonna look like

i guessed wrong, looks like the total is gonna be 6 cans of dye, one for the doors, 2 for the backseat, 2 for the headliner and one for the dash pad and armrest

nice just checked your profile, looks like your car has really come along since i saw it at polk. how are those seats that you put in holding up, if you still have them?

yep it has, and those old seats are gone, they didn't meet my expectations, i put in weapon r ones and couldn't be happier. and the interior is only about 10% done, i just dyed the fabric, i still gotta paint and stuff before its done, and get a new shift boot......that thing is pretty bad

I used 5 and a Half cans to dye my headliner....Turned out real good, its BLACK now. Just keep spraying til it wont get any darker....

And Could Somebody Plz Answer Me if they know...Can you dye the tweed part of the door panel without it getting too crusty or looking bad ??? i have a tan/black interior goin and i dont really wanna take apart the panel to vinyl it.

what stuff did you guys used to dye? i would like to get some color changes...

gold 99gt, yes you can dye the carpet on the doors, i did and it looks great. its easier to mask up the door around the tweed and spray away than it is to remove the tweed part.

and 5 cans for the headliner....damn, didn't think it would be that bad but ok, i'll grab a few more for that, i just have the rear deck lid, headliner and visors and im done, all black

redgtz, i used dupliclor vynal and fabric dye, its in the spraypaint section at autozone or walmart, its a spraycan, it works awsome, my backseat looks incredible, so awsome black instead of grey

mikec2003 ....dont u have a cavalier though ? i thought the door panels had that carpet material on them...not tweed.

Could i use it on the tweed AND the carpet part around the speaker grill ??

mine have that capet thing on the bottom, and a cloth material on the door armrests, i used it on the armrests on the door, the carpet at the bottom is already black. i think it will work fine on any fabric material on your car, or you could go to a junkyard and try the dye there on a car
