I bought a reverse glo overlay off ebay and installed it in my car, wired it up and it works fine, but it comes with this stupid on/off switch that i want to eliminate is it possable to wire this device to the dimmer or the switch for the parking lights? wut wires would do either? Any help appriciated.

What year? On my 2000, i tapped into the grey wire coming from the dimmer harness... it dims with stock and turns on with the parking/headlights.

.. just tap the 12v (red wire) to the headlight switch that turns on the headlights..lol and ground the black throw the switch behind the dash .. thats what i did works great.. dimmer will work and theyw ill turn on with ur headlights

which wire is it for a 97 i dont have gray comming from the dimmer i have yellow green white and black

if you ever want to show off your car at night, you will have to turn on your lights for it to work if you get rid of the switch and wire it to the dimmer.


mount a toggle switch you like in a place you like and wire the gauges to that. If one night you wanna show off your interior, you can leave off your lights and not worry about a dead battery.

thats dumb.. then u can turn on ur headlights.. and ur gauges how fun..
