Ok, a couple of weeks ago I recovered my rear deck with vinyl but the next day the heat in the car f***** it up but when it get cooler it get back in place. The thing is that I'm now doing the roof and I want the vinyl to stay there. I'm recovering it because I have made a custom light with leds (Pontiac Logo with red leds). I'll probably take pictures when it's all done. Thanls for your advice
are you talking about the fabric vinyl? I'd assume so...
Well I just finished doing my headliner, and I used a contact cement. It comes in a can and you brush it on. This stuff worked amazing...I found it much better than the spray glues.
do a quick search on it...it was on the top of the interior page a couple of days ago
the 3M stuff in the spray can is awsome stuff....

Does the 3M stuff can handle the heat in the car???
Hmmm, I tried to put the vinyl on and I cant get it to take completely the shape of the roof, if you have any tips I'll be happy, thanks
I myself am working on the same thing but mine is being done a bit custom and about the only way I had luck with it was either streching it or using a hair dryer to heat the vinyl a bit to mold to the form, the hardest parts I had was the edge corners and also the dome light, the visor indentions seem to work out just fine, right now I have down the blue flamed part of the vinyl just need to figure out how to cut the black to fill in the spaces between the flames with the blue already nicely attached to the foam backing. Also I tried doing it over the stock material and it did not work to well, if you have the time and all I would recommend removing the stock material and foam and redoing it all over but it is very time consuming getting the old stuff off and then working with the form mold cardboard is a bit tough because it likes to bend but after the new foam is on it holds it shape fairly well. If anyone can give me some advice on how to get the black to be cutout to be around the flames I would greatly appreciate it as well.

The last time i used the spray can, it was for an oldsmobile headliner, and it stayed, As far as laying vinyl, i've used the 3M stuff that comes in big 5 gal buckets....
