I dont get on here to much but I am really looking into doing the rhd conversion on my cavalier and I was wondering how hard is it to do and also where do I get all the parts? I know street-line sells the firewall and the dash kit and console, I was just wondering what is all needed also. I am really wonting to do this as a major project over the winter cause the car is going to be going thru some serious changes so any help would be awesome

Hey aaron why dont you take your head out of your ass and realize that I have a Kid. Also I havent had a place to store the car so I can take my time on it. Now that I have a place to store the car to work on it I can finally work on it and not rush it. I wont have to rush to put everything back together real quick just so I can drive it to work. I have another car I can drive now at anytime so that puts me at doing things to my car that I never thought of doing. Not everyone can be like you by buying all this @!#$ for your car and changing your mind every couple months just because you are tired of seeing it. Plus I'm not the one who filled bankrupcty supposley because you got yourself in debt and after you filled talked about buying all this @!#$ for your car and talking about buying another car. I dont have a problem with you at all aaron. I am in the works of getting the body work done. The car is going into a garage next weekend so I can start the body work. It is getting fully sanded down and the parts are all going to be taken off. I am taking your idea of sanding the car all the way down to meteal and then fixing the body work that way. Plus I was going to see if you wonted to help me so I can learn a little more and get things done right. SO i am callling a truths and just give me a call later around 12 cause I dont have my phone on me right now and I am at fed ex at the moment. Just call me later to talk bout it.

Woah dude, first off you need to get your crap straight before you start talking it. I have NEVER told Aaron not to call or hang out with you. See yet another part of your PROBLEM. You don't start stuff that you can't finish properly! I didn't mean to make this do drawn out but what I said needed to be said. I'm sick of your car looking like royal crap and you thinking its the best thing on earth its one thing to think that 'My car is looking good and starting to come together' than to go around acting like you've gone out and won so many shows with it, and then when someone tells your something that is wrong you make excuses for why it looks like it does, "I have a kid, I had to throw it on because I had to go to work, etc." Just like with the wiring on your toyo tails, I was being nice and told you that your signal didn't work (which can be a dangerous thing not that too many people use them here anyway though) and you told me that you knew about it. Well if you knew why wasn't it fixed? Sometimes it can be the little things that can end up making a BIG difference. Maybe you should start taking criticism a little better. And before you get the chance to do it I'll do it for you. I know that my car doesn't look the greatest right now, I know that my front bumper doesn't fit around my headlights, I know my sides aren't on because they don't fit, I know its 8 different colors, that's why I'm not going around posting pics everwhere. Yeah you may have something welded in there but who ever done it didn't know what they were doing because if they did, it would have been curved, everything would follow the cav body lines, it wouldn't be FLAT and have MARKS in it where it was slopped in by a putty knife.
IF you actually get your car together then I'll give credit where its due, but for someone that can't throw a spare on to get his tire patched because it has a hole it and needs to put 4 different wheels on it to ride around on...I don't see it happening

Plus I had a slit in the side wall of the tire umm dont think you can fix that which means need a new tire.PLus winter is coming so seems like a good idea to put the winter tires on. I do not believe you can actually buy a couple pieces here and there for this conversion. I thought they just sold the front clip of the car and bang you got all. The only things I think they sell are just interior peices seperately. But the main stuff like gauges, wires, firewall, and whatever else is all sold in one.
If you know how to weld I say go for it. It is a much larger job then you think it might be I think.
I would suggest you look into it alot and see if you are ready to decomision your car for a while.

i don't understand why people have to down each other. when people take time great things get accomplished. i know jeremy never downed people about their car. So i don't see why you all have to down his . If you all needed something he was there or he would be there to help you. Downing people about their car hurts thieir feelings and sometimes their self esteem. Can't this all come to an end right here and now.
I'm officially not taking any sides on this but this is how I see it.
Aaron was trying to stress that this is no easy task. I've personally never been around Jeremy to know his capabilities and what he can do, but I think in all honesty Aaron was stressing he wasn't ready for a project like this, for whatever reason, be based on personal experience or whatever, I guess he was trying to give a heads up. And reading back on what Aaron originally wrote, he was being a friend, he don't want to see him hack up his car and ruin it. Its obvious Jeremy loves working on his car but everyone has their boundaries. With that said I think pulling out all this personal crap is b.s. Whether you get mad at someone or not Jeremy, personal stuff should never be brought to public forums, even if you don't like them, its out of respect. Yes I know it went both ways, but for every action theres an equal or opposite reaction. (yeah I know lame).
Jeremey, whether you are capable or not I can't judge that. If you are doing research I find nothing wrong with that the better educated you are the better. I only hope that if you are even the slightest bit uneasy with doing this you do not take the project on. Its going to cost alot more to have someone go in and fix something you screw up than it ever will be to not do it all. If you do take it on, best of luck. But I would spend a long time doing research before hand, and most importantly look at your skill level and see if you are capable of doing this on your own. If its to your skill level, by all means go for it.
