where can i find an 05 sunfire dash - the one with the round vents...what other years had round vents? will this dash pad fit onto an earlier years dash?
by the way im looking for a charcoal one...i know theres one on ebay right now but its tan

03 and up sunfires have the dash you are talking about....and to get the vints out you just pull them out.
yeah 03+ had the round vents and yes i believe if you have already done the 95-02 sunfire dash swap the 03+ dsh pad wil bolt inplace of the 95=-2 dash pad.
I am doing the 95-02 sunfire dash swap as we speak, and will someday want to do the 03+ dash p[ad swap for the rund vents, looks good i think, was going to do it now, but couldnt find an 03+ dash pad, of all the one i found most have either had the air bags deploy which ruins the dash pad or one guy in dallas where i got my dash from wanted 500 bucks for an 04 charcoal dash pad he had out of a car that had been ass ended and totalled.
Goo lick, should lok good when its done.
BTW: are you going to paoint it or leave it stock charcoal??

im planning on leaving it stock charcoal or eventually having it made into carbon fiber... ive outgrown the painted look and am making the whole interior of my car black/stock charcoal

I've had this dash swap done for 2+ years now, and it fits perfectly. The vents don't match exactly, but they are close enough that I've never had problems with air not flowing properly (IE. it works fine without the vents).

the only dash pads ive found are like 300 bucks...im not lookin to spend that much lol
expecially when i paid 100 for my entire dash ( frame,pad,bottom dash,everything)
I have a 03 dash in my 99. It bolts right in like the older dash, and yes u can pull the vents out from the front. Your best bet is to find one in a junkyard that has the airbag cover destroyed. You can pick it up cheap that way (I paid like $120 possibly could have gotten it cheaper). The air bag cover can be replaced by the one from your older dash.

thanks that helps alot...i was wondering about how interchangable the airbag covers were
very easily interchanged just a couple of screws.....only
thing really different about the dash is the vents. I wish i had pics
of mine. even the ring around the gauge cluster is interchangable.
I'll buy the top part of anyones dash when they up grade to the dash with the round vents
