Vynil Painting

To all who have done this... and dont tell me to search i did already.... Once you paint it with vynil paint do you use regular clear or do i need vynil clear? ... knida a dumb question but ive never used vynil paint before

i don't think that you clear coat your vinyl paint....

no i dont think so either, bc its more like a dye rather than a paint, just make sure you do the prep work proper ly, like clean really good and let it sun dry...

did my dash in black with a vynl paint and no clear and no problems for the last 2 years.

My entire dashboard and full interior is painted a bright neon blue and has lasted for almost 3 years now without fading or chipping, and I used vinyl paint on the vinyl parts and rustoleum for the rest. No clear coat needed for me. here is a picture from over 2 years ago and still looks the same today. I did it in Winter 2002

It just depends on what kind of paint you use. I used krylon fusion or whatever it's called, plastibond or somethin like that, its in the faq. Neway, you dont really need a clear coat with that, but you can use a low gloss/low odor clear of something. It's all in the faq (Vinyl by the way)
